Bobbi Mattos joined Norwest Venture Partners in January 2001, bringing with her 30 years of experience in financial management. Bobbi manages the financial operations of the firm.
Before joining NVP, Bobbi was chief financial officer at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, where she was responsible for the development and reorganization of financial systems, budgeting and forecasting, and the management of financial and human resource operations.
Earlier, Bobbi was vice president and controller of Pacific Property Services, L.P., the Rockefeller company asset manager for the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. At Pacific Property Services, Bobbi was on the senior team responsible for the marketing, negotiation and sale of the Embarcadero Center (a mixed-use development with more than 4,000,000 square feet of office and retail space, hotels, parking and public areas), and worked closely with Wall Street investment bankers and attorneys for both the buyer and seller to consummate the sale.
Bobbi's other positions include controller of corporate entities, chief financial officer of securities and director of sales administration and investor relations for Technology Funding, a venture capital syndicator; controller of portfolio accounting operations at Fox & Carskadon Financial Corporation; senior financial analyst and manager of financial planning and general accounting at Atari, Inc.; and controller at Faust/Griset, Inc. Bobbi began her career at Simmons Company, Pacific Region, where she progressed from staff accountant to chief accountant for the regional office responsible for three manufacturing plants and five distribution centers.
Bobbi conducted undergraduate studies at University of California, Berkeley, and holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Hayward, with a major in accounting. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and served on the executive committee of the board of directors for the Financial Women's Association (FWA) of San Francisco.
