David Shackley is a senior advisor at Norwest, providing counsel to Norwest’s portfolio companies in the areas of global event strategy & execution.
David has over 30 years of experience in creative leadership, marketing, and global brand strategy. Throughout his career, he has led high-impact initiatives at top brands, including Marriott International, Apple, and RedPeg Marketing.
At Marriott, David oversaw global creative, events, and internal communications. He played a key role in launching the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and managed partnerships with prominent brands such as Manchester United, F1, and the NFL. Prior to Marriott, David served as Executive Producer at Apple, where he was responsible for producing global product launches and leading the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). As President and Chief Creative Officer of RedPeg, he directed the creative strategy for over 500 live events and expanded the agency’s digital capabilities.
David has also held senior leadership roles at Mark Burnett Productions and Discovery Channel, where he contributed to the success of major TV franchises. In addition to his corporate experience, he currently serves as Chair of the USA Swimming Foundation, where he leads fundraising initiatives for learn-to-swim programs and elite athlete development.
David’s expertise spans brand strategy, global event strategy, creative direction, and strategic partnerships, positioning him as a valuable advisor to organizations seeking innovative solutions and impactful brand experiences.
