Gentry Alverson is Director of Talent, Growth Equity at Norwest where he oversees talent for the firm’s Growth Equity portfolio companies.

Gentry comes to Norwest from Korn Ferry, where he led executive searches across a wide range of industries with clients including high-growth technology companies, well-established global brands, and portfolio companies of leading private equity firms.

Prior to Korn Ferry, Gentry served as a Channel Sales Manager at GoGuardian, an EdTech company backed by Sumeru Equity Partners. He started his career in the entertainment and music industry where he worked as an artist manager, A&R, and concert producer for multi-platinum-selling musicians.

Gentry holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
