Scott brings more than 20 years of product, engineering, and SaaS expertise to his role as a partner on Norwest’s enterprise team. He focuses on early- to late-stage investment opportunities in enterprise SaaS with a particular interest in companies building next-gen systems of intelligence and automation across e-commerce, sales/pipeline acceleration, customer service, sales enablement and CRM. He currently serves on the boards of Bluecore, Connect the Dots, Fabric, Leanplum, MindTickle, Qualified, Replicant, Singular, and Socrates AI.

Scott most recently served as Senior Vice President of Product Management for Salesforce Service Cloud, the industry’s #1 enterprise customer service platform. Service Cloud delivers over $5 billion in annual revenue with over 100,000 customers and continues to grow at 25% per year. While at Salesforce, he also served as Head of Engineering, Product, UX, and Documentation for Desk.com.

Before joining Salesforce, Scott cut his entrepreneurial teeth building multiple consumer and enterprise software companies including a multi-brand e-commerce SaaS platform with an integrated omni-channel customer support service, an enterprise privacy SaaS platform, and a consumer search engine. Scott has been an active angel investor in both early-stage startups and venture funds.

Scott holds eleven United States patents.

Scott earned a bachelor of science from the University of Michigan’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

    What is something that people may not know about you?
    In a past life, I composed and produced music for the likes of Oliver Stone, Disney, and Interscope, and toured the world as a musician from Mexico City to Siberia.

    What are your interests outside of work?
    I enjoy hiking, skiing, playing tennis, and the extreme sport of running around with my two energetic nephews. I have also developed a newfound respect for the game of badminton and its 200 mph birdies.
